Martha Elizabeth Williams Weaver
Martha Elizabeth Williams Weaver, 85, of Roanoke Rapids, died Thursday, May 24, 2018, at her home.
Mrs. Weaver, a native of Halifax County, was born May 1, 1933 to the late Archie W. and Ola Mae Gaither Williams. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Weaver was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Weaver; son, David Earl Weaver; and her daughter, Gail W. Fox.
Surviving are her daughter, Linda Rainey and husband, Tom, of Fairview, NC; son, Joseph A. Weaver, Sr., of Roanoke Rapids; sister, Eunice Powell, of Roanoke Rapids; grandchildren, Jennifer Wood Hudson and husband, James, of Aurelian Springs, and Joseph A. Weaver, Jr. and wife, Meredith, of Asheville, NC; and a great-grandchild, Cody M. Wood. Also, surviving are her loving and resilient caregiver, Bettie Lynch, and several nieces and nephews.
Rev. Craig Gaither will conduct a graveside service Sunday, May 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in Community Center Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will welcome friends after the service at the home.
